For the digital signage business unit of this multinational in monitors & displays, we are looking for an international oriented technical sales support agent, responsible for assisting and advising clients by phone and onsite in setting up and improving their signage solutions.
The use of digital signage is expected to grow further in coming years. These solutions combining LCD/LED screens, software applications and content management packages demand a client orientation that goes beyond the sole products. Moreover clients need information on how to set up devices, connections and how to upgrade and enlarge the use of signage. The agent plays a key role in that process streamlining the process of installation of the products and providing the technical and commercial back up. The agent will become a specialist of Public Signage applications and its components (displays, interfaces, specific Public Signage devices like content management players, software) and is able to help "design" solutions or adapt existing solutions to customer specific applications.
He or she will provide field support to customers in case of any technical problems/questions with signage applications and individual components. For all EMEA countries this sales agent will provide both technical assistance concerning digital signage solutions as well as commercial assistance making use of cross selling opportunities and improving service and solutions for existing customers throughout Europe.
He or she is of course able to understand the technical features of the products, but is also able to identify commercial opportunities and to convince clients. Therefore this role is an excellent opportunity for an engineer that wants to combine technical experience with commercial sense.
Major activities
1. Provide onsite and telephonic field support to customers in case of technical and functional problems/questions with Public Signage applications and individual components. 2. Pre sales and cross selling: identifying client demands and developments, advising on other and new solutions, collaboration with sales agents in EMEA countries 3. Participate in Project Teams. Roll out new products in cooperation with Global Development Centre. 4. Arrange trials, product evaluations, exhibitions and training for sales, service and customers 5. Update service organizations with latest documentations, update Q&A lists 6. Partially create, contribute and where applicable maintain technical documentation of PS products (application notes, installation guides, release reports, specification updates). 7. Cooperate with global development centre in Asia and OEM suppliers in product debugging. 8. Cooperate on the technical and project level with key customers 9. Assist and/or coordinate hands-on product rework actions in our warehouse

The position requires the following personal capabilities for acceptable performance:
• Technical education with electronics/software background (Bachelor degree) • Knowledge of electronic displays, display technologies and circuitries • Knowledgeable on PC technologies, PC OS’s, basic understanding of Linux OS • Knowledgeable on IP networks, protocols and content distribution via IP (streaming) • Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, Javascript , Ajax, Flash • Familiar with software/hardware applications at a functional level • Project management skills are an advantage • Has the drive to combine technical knowledge and commercial sense. • Written and verbal communication skills in English, and a second European language such as German or French. • Willing to regional travel (Europe)

The company has been successful in presenting product lines of A brands in the electronics industry. Their European marketing and sales organization has an exclusive brand license agreement to market and sell LCD monitors. Product lines include: LCD monitors, all-in-one PC’s, Public Signage and monitor TV. The organization is rapidly growing and focuses on obtaining a larger market share. The support agent plays an important role in this strategy.

Our client offers an excellent remuneration scheme, including bonus and a non-contributory pension scheme. OTE € 40000 to € 55000 per year. The company has opportunities to grow both personally and in different roles.
